Sellers Tips
Investing a
little time and money to prep your ride for resale will always help you to reap
a reward beyond your investment. The following can be used as a guide to
optimize your chances of selling quickly and getting the best possible price
for your ride:
·
Fix
all obvious damages and disclose any other broken or damaged areas.
·
Have
your ride up to date on all of the maintenance and try to have all the
paperwork and service records available.
·
As
a seller, check your local smog regulations.
·
Detail
the ride yourself or have it detailed professionally. You want your ride to be
in the best possible shape, cleaned up and ready to go! If you invest a couple hundred dollars up
front on a complete detail, you can expect to earn that back on the sale.
·
When
setting your price, leave yourself some room to negotiate. Your buyer will most
likely be doing their homework on the purchase they are considering; their
findings will determine how much they are willing to spend on your ride. They
will also be checking classified publications to see what else is out there, so
be familiar with the current market values and trends.
·
Pictures,
pictures, pictures - take pictures from multiple angles in the best lighting
possible (not at night) - try to focus on the areas which will be of most
interest to buyers.
